Liverpool are reportedly planning to sit down and hold showdown talks with Colombian attacker Luis Diaz when the summer transfer window rolls around.

The 28-year-old took his goals tally to 15 for the season in all competitions last weekend, netting the opener in the Reds' nervy 2-1 Premier League home victory over West Ham United.

Diaz and co are now just two wins away from a guaranteed Premier League title, which could even be clinched this Sunday if they get the better of Leicester City and Arsenal are beaten at Ipswich Town.

The former Porto man is expected to reprise his role on the left wing at the King Power Stadium, bidding to build on a praiseworthy record of 11 goals and seven assists from 31 Premier League matches in the current campaign.

City could save millions as Pep confirms stance on 22-year-old's exit

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has confirmed that he wants to keep fringe playmaker James McAtee at the club for the 2025-26 season.

The 22-year-old belatedly made his first Premier League start of the season in last weekend's home clash with Crystal Palace, and he justified his selection with a goal in that 5-2 comeback win.

McAtee had been restricted to 11 substitute cameos before that hard-earned start, though, and he has only been granted 217 minutes of top-flight football all season, fewer than three full matches.

The midfielder's long-term future has naturally been called into question owing to his lack of Premier League game time, as well as the fact that he enters the last 12 months of his contract this summer.

Amorim goes ambipedal as Man Utd 'lead race' for two-footed £70m star

Manchester United are at the head of the queue to sign highly-rated Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo in the summer transfer window, according to a report.

The 25-year-old struck his eighth goal of the Premier League season in the Cherries' last outing, propelling Andoni Iraola's men to a 1-0 triumph over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Semenyo's first-minute strike also saw him join an exclusive ambipedal club, as he is just one of four Premier League players to score eight goals with both his right and left foot since the start of last season.

Only Crystal Palace's Jean-Philippe Mateta, Nottingham Forest's Chris Wood and Brentford's Yoane Wissa have also managed that feat, and Semenyo's achievements have helped Bournemouth force their way into European contention this term.

Bayern Munich have reportedly identified one of Aston Villa's star attackers as a potential transfer target ahead of the summer window.

Having seen their Bundesliga dominance come to an end last season, Bayern are well on course to reclaiming the top-flight crown this time around.

Under Vincent Kompany, Bayern sit six points clear at the top of the standings and have scored 83 goals from 29 games, 20 more than any other team.

Nevertheless, with the club trailing Inter Milan in their Champions League quarter-final and Thomas Muller due to depart the Allianz Arena, further strengthening of the attack could occur.

The six-figure man: Could Man City sell club legend for under £1m?

Italian giants AC Milan have supposedly decided that they do not want to pay more than a paltry €2m (£1.7m) to sign Kyle Walker on a permanent basis this summer.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Sheffield United man jumped ship for San Siro in January following a noticeable decline at Man City, whose bid to offload him for good recently hit a snag.

Walker is currently on the mend from an elbow fracture, which could potentially rule the 34-year-old out for the remainder of the campaign and make Milan think twice about signing him permanently.

The Rossoneri did agree to an option to buy when they brought Walker to Milan over the winter, but even that clause was only worth a meagre €5m (£4.2m).

Liverpool 'bombshell' alert as Mourinho 'personally requests' 27-year-old signing

Fenerbahce head coach Jose Mourinho has personally requested the signing of out-of-favour Liverpool attacker Federico Chiesa this summer, according to a report.

The Euro 2020 winner has endured a dreadful time of things at Anfield during his first season with the Reds, only making 12 appearances and contributing two goals and two assists in that time.

Injuries and the scintillating form of Mohamed Salah have contributed to Chiesa's struggles, and the Italy international has only played a meagre 33 minutes in the 2024-25 Premier League season.

Despite only signing him for a total package of £12.5m last summer, Liverpool would apparently look for around €25m (£21.4m) and €30m (£25.7m) to let Chiesa go this summer, and a return to Italy has unsurprisingly been mooted.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has claimed that the Gunners' intentions with Thomas Partey are "very clear" as the Ghana international runs down the final few months of his contract.

Partey is still under the same terms he signed at Arsenal upon his arrival from Atletico Madrid in 2020, and he is due to walk away for nothing when the current campaign draws to a close.

However, the 31-year-old is arguably enjoying his finest campaign in an Arsenal shirt to date, contributing four goals and three assists from 46 appearances in the number six position.

The Ghanaian midfielder completed the full 90 minutes in Wednesday's 2-1 Champions League quarter-final second-leg win over Real Madrid, although he picked up a yellow card that will rule him out of the first leg of the semi-final with Paris Saint-Germain.

Crystal Palace have announced that right wing-back Daniel Munoz has extended his contract at the club.

The 28-year-old's initial deal was due to expire in the summer of 2027, but he has now decided to pen fresh terms and extend his contract by an additional 12 months.

Munoz has made a total of 54 appearances for the Eagles across all competitions since joining the club from Genk for a reported £6.9m in January 2024.

The Colombia international has played an integral part in Palace's recent success, registering six goals and 10 assists for Oliver Glasner's side, with six goals and six assists recorded in 38 games so far this season.

Alexander-Arnold injury update: Could Liverpool ace return vs. Leicester?

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has revealed that Trent Alexander-Arnold could be in the squad for Sunday's Premier League contest against relegation-threatened Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

The England international has been on the sidelines with an ankle injury since March 11, missing his side's last three Premier League matches, and at one stage, it was feared that his season was in doubt.

However, the 26-year-old has made excellent progress in his recovery, and Slot has revealed that he could potentially be in the squad for the game against Leicester, as Liverpool look to move closer to winning the Premier League title, with the team 13 points clear of second-placed Arsenal at the top of the table with only six games left to play.

"He has worked so hard to be back already now, and the moment he is on the pitch he shows me what a great football player he is and how much he is involved in us trying to achieve our goals this season," Slot told reporters during his press conference.

Chelsea have reportedly determined their stance regarding the availability of Moises Caicedo.

Since arriving at Stamford Bridge in a £115m deal in August 2023, the Ecuador international has reaffirmed his status as one of the best defensive midfielders in world football.

A total of 80 starts and five substitutes outings have been made in all competitions, Caicedo having a crucial role to play when Romeo Lavia has struggled with injury in the long term.

Holding a contract until 2031, the 23-year-old is tied to the West Londoners for years to come, yet reports have emerged regarding interest from the Saudi Pro League.

Bayer Leverkusen 'join hunt' to sign Man United attacker

Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly preparing to join the race to sign one of Manchester United's attackers during the summer transfer window.

The Premier League giants are currently celebrating one of their most notable European victories in recent memory, a stunning 5-4 comeback victory over Lyon after extra time in their Europa League quarter-final on Thursday night.

Not only will that success bring in extra revenue in the short term, it leaves Ruben Amorim's side one of four teams still in the hunt for the trophy and Champions League qualification for 2025-26.

Nevertheless, widespread reports have already indicated that a number of sales will be facilitated once the market reopens in June, a consequence of poor form and the need to bolster the club's position with the relevant financial regulations.
