Exeter City grab late win over Dagenham & Redbridge

Exeter City come from behind to earn a 2-1 win over Dagenham & Redbridge at Victoria Road.

Exeter City recovered from conceding early on to secure a 2-1 win over Dagenham & Redbridge at Victoria Road this evening.

Jamie Cureton fired the home side ahead on 11 minutes after rounding a defender and slotting the ball beyond Christy Pym in the Exeter City goal.

Cureton could have extended his side's lead but fired straight at Pym when well placed on the hour mark.

The away side then levelled the clash from the penalty spot after Tom Nicholls was fouled in the box.

Jimmy Keohane stepped up to fire the spot kick beyond Mark Cousins and seemingly rescue a draw for Paul Tisdale's side.

However, deep into injury time Arron Davies headed home to give Exeter City all three points.
