Manchester United are reportedly interested in Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

United are set to overhaul their squad this summer following a woeful Premier League campaign that has left them languishing in 16th position with just two matches left to play.

The final third is one area in need of strengthening, considering that Man United are the league's fifth-lowest scorers with 42 goals from 36 matches.

While they are keen to recruit a new number nine, Man United are also on the lookout for players who can support the main striker in Ruben Amorim's 3-4-2-1 system.

"I'm not massively convinced": The risks with Reds' deal for Frimpong assessed

Liverpool may not be as interested in Jeremie Frimpong as reports suggest
© Imago

Liverpool are not necessarily as keen on signing Jeremie Frimpong as recent reports have suggested, Reds transfer expert David Lynch has claimed.

Following the announcement last week by Trent Alexander-Arnold that he would leave the club in the summer when his contract expires, fans have speculated that boss Arne Slot would look to the transfer market to replace the defender.

Bayer Leverkusen wing-back Frimpong has been strongly linked with a move from Germany to Anfield, with some reports suggesting that negotiations are at an advanced stage.

However, Lynch urged caution and reiterated that he is sceptical about any potential deal materialising, telling Sports Mole: "I'm not massively convinced. There's a lot of noise and I don't buy into it, and people I speak to don't give me the impression that that's the case. Neck on the line a little bit and we'll see how it plays out.

Real Madrid have reportedly placed Bournemouth's Dean Huijsen, Arsenal's William Saliba and Liverpool's Ibrahima Konate on their transfer shortlist.

Los Blancos are preparing for a new era under Xabi Alonso, who is expected to replace Carlo Ancelotti at the end of the season.

Real Madrid will be keen to give Alonso the best squad possible for his first season in charge, and the centre of their defence is one area that needs to be bolstered ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

They have seen Eder Militao, David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger all hit with injuries this term, exposing their lack of depth in that area of the pitch.

Moore pain for Spurs as 'contacts' start over transfer which could help Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur's Mikey Moore celebrates scoring on January 30, 2025

Tottenham Hotspur protege Mikey Moore has allegedly emerged as a target for Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, and a switch to the Signal Iduna Park could have benefits for Arsenal.

The 17-year-old's rise to fame has one pleasing aspect of an otherwise nightmarish domestic season for Ange Postecoglou, and he has already played 20 times for the senior side in all tournaments.

Moore has come up with one goal and two assists for Spurs in that time and earned 71 minutes in Sunday's 2-0 home loss to Crystal Palace, replacing the injured Dejan Kulusevski in the first half.

However, even with captain Son Heung-min struggling with a foot injury, Moore has struggled to force his way into Postecoglou's lineup, with Richarlison being preferred on the left flank.

Manchester City have reportedly stepped up their interest in AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Citizens are known to be in the market for at least one new midfielder as club legend Kevin De Bruyne will be leaving the club upon the expiration of his contract, while Bernardo Silva has also been linked with a move away.

Hugo Viana has now started full-time work as Man City's new sporting director and is working alongside outgoing chief Txiki Begiristain during a transition period, with their focus primarily on a much-anticipated squad rebuild this summer.

Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz and Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White are believed to be among multiple candidates who will feature in the Citizens' transfer deliberations this summer, with Pep Guardiola's side said to be close to reaching a verbal agreement with the former.

Reports have claimed that Jeremie Frimpong would be happy to move to Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen if they decide to sign a right-back this summer.

With right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold confirming last week that he intends to leave Anfield, rumours have suggested that the club will look to replace the Englishman in the transfer market.

Some fans and pundits have expressed confidence that current backup Conor Bradley is ready to fill the shoes of Alexander-Arnold, but the Northern Irishman has frequently suffered injury issues.

Liverpool have been credited with an interest in Bayer Leverkusen's Frimpong, who can be signed for a fee in the region of £29.5m in the summer due to the existence of a release clause.

Arteta suffers transfer blow, with Blues now 'frontrunners' for Bayern attacker

Chelsea are reported to be the leading candidates to sign Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane ahead of Arsenal upon the expiry of his contract in the summer.

The Gunners managed to earn a point against champions Liverpool last Sunday, coming back from a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2.

Boss Mikel Arteta was scathing of his players' performance levels in the first half against Liverpool, and with the club likely to finish second for a third consecutive season, it would not be surprising if they looked to bring in several fresh faces.

The Londoners have been linked with a number of forward players, with supporters and pundits insisting that the team need fresh attacking impetus in order to win the league next season.

Grealish set for 'showdown talks' with Guardiola over Man City future

Jack Grealish will reportedly seek assurances from manager Pep Guardiola over his future at Manchester City ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 29-year-old has failed to make the desired impact for the Citizens since playing an integral role in the club's historic 2022-23 treble-winning campaign.

Grealish went through 2024 without netting a single goal in 32 appearances before ending his miserable drought by scoring from the penalty spot in Man City's thumping 8-0 win over Salford City in the FA Cup in January.

Man City's No.10 - a £100m signing from boyhood club Aston Villa in 2021 - has lost his regular starting spot on the left flank under Guardiola, featuring in the first XI just seven times in the Premier League this season.

Al-Hilal 'set deadline' for Fernandes to make Man United exit decision

Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal have reportedly set a deadline for Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes to make a decision over a potential exit from Old Trafford this summer.

Fernandes has arguably been Man United's standout performer ever since he joined the club from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020 and he continues to excel in what has been a bitterly disappointing 2024-25 campaign.

The 30-year-old playmaker has contributed with 98 goals and 86 assists in 287 appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions, including 19 goals and 19 assists in 54 matches so far this season.

Fernandes's consistent performances have been one of few positives for a Man United side who are languishing in 16th place in the Premier League table and must win the Europa League final if they wish to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Arsenal are reportedly contemplating whether to launch another raid on Chelsea during the summer transfer window.

While the Gunners have missed out in the Premier League title race for the third successive campaign, there is still an opportunity to finish in second place in the standings.

Nevertheless, new sporting director Andrea Berta will already be hard at work ahead of the market reopening in June, the North Londoners expecting to be busy.

Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi has allegedly already agreed to make the switch to the Emirates Stadium in a big-money deal.

Blow for Barca, Man Utd as Bayern 'push to close deal' for free agent

Bayer Leverkusen's Jonathan Tah on May 11, 2025

Bayern Munich have reportedly emerged as the frontrunners to sign in-demand defender Jonathan Tah this summer.

The 29-year-old has spent the last decade at Bayer Leverkusen where he has made 401 appearances across all competitions and celebrated winning the club's first-ever Bundesliga title last season.

However, Tah has confirmed that he will be leaving the BayArena when his contract expires at the end of June, and a host of top European clubs have subsequently been altered to his situation.

La Liga champions-elect Barcelona have been strongly linked with a move for Tah as the cash-strapped Catalan giants continue to scour the market for low-budget and free agents signings.

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to accept offers for Gabriel Martinelli in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old has made a total of 223 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions since joining from Brazilian outfit Ituano for around £6m in July 2019.

Martinelli has recorded 51 goals and 29 assists in that time, contributing with 10 goals and six assists in 49 appearances across all tournaments so far this season.

The 16-cap Brazil international has predominantly operated as a left-winger under Mikel Arteta, but he made a notable impact as a centre-forward in last weekend's 2-2 comeback draw with Premier League champions Liverpool, scoring the first of Arsenal's two goals as they came from two down to rescue a point.

Leicester City head coach Ruud van Nistelrooy has provided a positive update on the future of in-demand starlet Jeremy Monga.

The 15-year-old attacker became the second-youngest player in history to appear in the Premier League when he made his top-flight debut in a 3-0 home defeat to Newcastle United last month.

Monga has made a total of five senior appearances as a substitute for the Foxes, who will be playing in the Championship next season as their relegation from the Premier League has been confirmed.

The teenager will begin his GCSE exams this week and he has only been able to train with the first team a few times per week due to his school commitments.

Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has delivered a fresh update on his future with the La Liga giants.

The 35-year-old came out of retirement to join Barca in October last year, just under two months after leaving Juventus, after first-choice shot-stopper Marc-Andre ter Stegen suffered a season-ending knee injury.

Szczesny has since played a key role between the sticks for Hansi Flick's side who have already won the Supercopa de Espana and Copa Del Rey, and are now on the cusp of securing the La Liga title.

The Poland international has made a total of 29 first-team appearances for a Barcelona side who also progressed to the semi-finals of the Champions League, losing 7-6 on aggregate to Inter Milan.

Gyokeres has scored a remarkable 95 goals and has registered 28 assists in 100 appearances for the Portuguese giants, contributing with 52 goals and 13 assists in 50 games so far this season.

Al-Hilal have reportedly identified one of Aston Villa's star players as a potential alternative to Bruno Fernandes.

In recent days, it has been reiterated that the Manchester United playmaker remains wanted by the PIF-owned clubs in the Saudi Pro League.

However, Ruben Amorim has consistently made it clear that the Portugal international is not for sale, leaving teams from that part of the Middle East to assess their options.

Despite being rebuffed on occasions, teams such as Al-Hilal will never be short of alternatives due to their financial firepower, and it appears that they may soon turn their attention to Aston Villa.

Chelsea have reportedly turned down a seven-figure offer from Arsenal for 16-year-old goalkeeping protege Freddy Bernal.

The 2008-born goalkeeper was recently named in the England Under-17 squad for this summer's European Championships, joining several other highly-rated youngsters in Neil Ryan's selection.

Arsenal duo Max Dowman and Jack Porter will also be competing in the tournament in Albania, as will Manchester United's Bendito Mantato and Manchester City's Reigan Heskey.

Bernal - who has already been called up to represent England at Under-18 level - has featured on five occasions for Chelsea in the Under-18 Premier League this term, albeit while failing to keep a clean sheet and conceding 11 goals.

With new sporting director Hugo Viana now working alongside outgoing chief Txiki Begiristain during a transition period, the Citizens' hierarchy are currently focused primarily on a much-anticipated squad rebuild that could include several incomings and outgoings.

Man City spent around £180m on four new signings in January and they will also have cash to splash this summer as they target a swift return to the summit of English and European football having endured a turbulent, injury-hit 2024-25 campaign.

While the addition of at least one midfielder is expected at the Etihad Stadium, with Kevin De Bruyne leaving upon the expiration of his contract, City have also been tipped to strengthen their options in the full-back department.

Manchester City have added Paris Saint-Germain number one Gianluigi Donnarumma to their list of potential Ederson successors, according to a report.

As Pep Guardiola's current first-choice shot-stopper is out of contract in 2026, the Citizens are said to be planning for life without the 31-year-old guarding the posts.

Ederson is reportedly being eyed for a shock transfer by a former Manchester United and Chelsea head coach, while Stefan Ortega is not a long-term option in between the sticks either.

Porto's Diogo Costa is thought to have been Man City's number one target to inherit the gloves from Ederson, and Sky Blues fans have been told that a deal to bring the Portuguese to Manchester is "expected to happen".
