Arsenal target Matheus Cunha has reportedly prioritised a move to the Emirates from Wolverhampton Wanderers over other Premier League rivals such as Manchester United.

The Gunners narrowly defeated Wolves away from home on Saturday afternoon, overcoming Myles Lewis-Skelly's controversial sending off in the first half to win 1-0.

Mikel Arteta ensured that the gap to league-leaders Liverpool remained six points, but with key attackers Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus set to miss out on action for months, reinforcing in January could be essential in order to stay in the title race.

The likes of Alexander Isak have been linked to the club, but Newcastle United are reportedly set to offer the striker a new long-term deal in a bid to fend off interest.

Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich has reportedly opened preliminary negotiations with Real Madrid, and the Spanish giants are said to be interested in signing him in the summer upon the expiry of his contract.

The Bavarians are first in the Bundesliga with 48 points, six points ahead of second-placed Bayer Leverkusen, and boss Vincent Kompany looks like he has a strong chance to help the German side reclaim the title.

It also appears that left-back Alphonso Davies will sign a new contract with Bayern and reject interest from Real Madrid, and the news will come as a welcome boost given the defender has been consistently linked with a move away.

The Bundesliga club could have a busy few months ahead, with Leroy Sane set to leave the club for free at the end of 2024-25 unless he reaches an agreement on new terms, while others like Mathys Tel have been linked with a transfer to teams such as Chelsea.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has explained why Marcus Rashford is still being overlooked, claiming that he would rather put his goalkeeping coach on the bench instead of a player who does not give 100%.

Rashford was again absent for Man United's Premier League clash with Fulham on Sunday evening, with the forward not making the trip down to London with his teammates.

The 27-year-old has not represented the Red Devils since December 12 due to poor performances in training and his general demeanour around the club.

Amorim was asked about the Englishman's ongoing absence after the 1-0 win over Fulham, and the Portuguese said that "it is the same situation".

The former Fulham protege has seen his future called into question of late due to his lack of minutes in the Premier League in particular, as he is still waiting for his first top-flight start of the season.

Elliott was only a second-half substitute in Saturday's 4-1 crushing of Ipswich Town, the ninth time this season that he has been brought off the bench in the Premier League, totalling just 75 minutes in the process.

The 21-year-old's only starts this term have come in the FA Cup and EFL Cup, and he previously missed two months of the campaign with a broken foot, which was recently referenced by Slot when he was quizzed on Elliott's lack of playing time.

Chelsea reportedly 'really appreciate' Bournemouth centre-back Dean Huijsen, who has a release clause written into his contract with the Cherries.

The 19-year-old has seamlessly slotted into the Bournemouth backline since joining in a £12.8m switch from Juventus last summer, shining alongside Ilya Zabarnyi in the heart of defence.

Huijsen initially had to be patient for his opportunity over Marcos Senesi, but he has now started each of Bournemouth's last 10 top-flight games, including Saturday's 5-0 thumping of title outsiders Nottingham Forest.

The former Roma man has notched two goals in that time, and Andoni Iraola's men have astonishingly not lost any of those 10 matches, a remarkable run that has propelled them up to seventh place in the Premier League table.
