Kyle Walker has admitted that he had an uncomfortable conversation with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola before he recently completed a loan move to AC Milan.

Earlier this month, Guardiola confirmed that Walker had informed him of his desire to leave the club and explore opportunities abroad.

Walker had seen some of his performances come under scrutiny in what proved to be a difficult first half of the season for the Citizens.

The 34-year-old was ultimately allowed to move on loan to Milan, who have the option to make the move permanent for €5m (£4.2m) in the summer.

Manchester City have reportedly rejected a loan offer from Bayer Leverkusen for attacker James McAtee.

The England Under-21 international has been linked with a winter departure in a bid to gain regular game time elsewhere.

McAtee, who spent last season on loan at Sheffield United, has failed to start any of his six Premier League appearances this season, although he did get on the scoresheet in a 6-0 win over Ipswich Town earlier this month.

The 22-year-old has scored a total of five goals in 14 competitive matches, including a hat-trick in an 8-0 demolition of League Two Salford City in the FA Cup.

Manchester United have reportedly grown confident that they can agree a deal to sign Lecce defender Patrick Dorgu.

The Red Devils are seemingly keen to recruit a player who can play left wing-back before the transfer window shuts on February 3.

Amorim has tended to use the right-footed pair of Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot on the left of a three in recent times, with Luke Shaw currently sidelined with injury and Tyrell Malacia heading towards a loan exit.

Man United have identified Dorgu as someone who could fit into Amorim's system following recent speculation that they had held positive discussions with Lecce over a potential move.

Chelsea defender Renato Veiga has completed a loan switch to Juventus for the rest of the season.

Having cost £11.8m when leaving Basel for Stamford Bridge in the summer, Veiga has made a relatively positive impact during his first six months with the Blues.

However, despite making 12 starts and six substitute outings in all competitions and becoming a full Portugal international, the 21-year-old allegedly grew frustrated at a lack of opportunities at centre-back.

Head coach Enzo Maresca recently told reporters that any player in his squad may struggle if they wish to be only used in one position, subsequently leading to constant speculation regarding Veiga's future.

Brentford have confirmed that full-back Mads Roerslev has joined Wolfsburg on loan until the end of the season.

Earlier this month, Roerslev was linked with a switch to the Bundesliga club despite getting a run of games in the absence of Kristoffer Ajer and Aaron Hickey.

While Roerslev was said to be open to the move, Brentford were unlikely to sanction his departure without signing a replacement first.

However, the Bees confirmed on Friday that they had signed Fiorentina right-back Michael Kayode on a loan deal with an option for a permanent transfer, paving the way for Roerslev to head to the Bundesliga.

Manchester City have announced the arrival of defender Juma Bah, who has immediately joined Ligue 1 club Lens on loan until the end of the season.

The highly-rated 18-year-old moves to France after an impressive spell on loan in Spain with La Liga basement club Real Valladolid, where he made 12 top-flight appearances.

It was reported earlier this month that Man City had verbally agreed to sign Bah from his parent club AIK Freetong in his native Sierra Leone, but the Citizens were accused of "appearing to advise" the youngster by Real Valladolid.

The Spanish club, who exercised a purchase option to sign Bah on a permanent transfer earlier this month, informed their legal department to "initiate disciplinary action" after claiming that Bah was in breach of contract for failing to turn up for training.
