Tuesday's EFL Cup quarter-final predictions including Arsenal vs. Man City

Sports Mole provides score predictions for both of Tuesday's EFL Cup quarter-finals - Brentford vs. Newcastle and Arsenal vs. Manchester City.

Brentford face Newcastle United on Tuesday evening looking to reach the EFL Cup semi-finals for the first time in their history.

While the Bees are unbeaten in their last 13 matches in the Championship, Newcastle have gone two games without success in the Premier League.

We say: Brentford 2-1 Newcastle United

After the recent coronavirus outbreak at the club, another fixture on the schedule is not ideal for the Magpies. With that in mind, we feel that Brentford could take the scalp of another Premier League scalp courtesy of a late goal at their home ground.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Arsenal vs. Man City (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

A place in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup is up for grabs on Tuesday night when out-of-form Arsenal welcome holders Manchester City to the Emirates Stadium.

The student meets the master again as under-fire Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta looks to ease the pressure on his shoulders with victory over his former boss Pep Guardiola.

We say: Arsenal 0-2 Manchester City

It is difficult to back Arsenal on their current run, particularly at home. The Gunners do seem to be better in competitions outside the Premier League, and their wins at Leicester and Liverpool in previous rounds should not be forgotten, but they have suffered a dramatic nosedive since those results.

Man City have been strong at the back recently and have a good record against Arsenal, so we are backing the visitors to not only progress, but also keep a clean sheet in the process.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.
