Good morning all! Focus may have switched to matters on the pitch, in England in particular as the football season is well underway, but there is still plenty of transfer activity rumbling behind the scenes. The midnight deadline on September 1 is edging closer, but will anyone beat Manchester City's £49m cheque for Raheem Sterling? As the clock ticks down, clubs get more desperate, so we might see a lot of cash changing hands in the next few weeks.
To kick off the day, let's bring you some news from Tottenham Hotspur and their pursuit of Lyon forward Clinton N'Jie. The Premier League outfit are said to have already agreed a £10m fee with the French outfit. Now, according to The Mirror, the 21-year-old will fly to London, undergo a medical and should be confirmed as a Spurs player within the next 48 hours.

FEE AGREED! It looks as though Bolton Wanderers defender Tim Ream is on his way to Queens Park Rangers. According to Sky Sports News, a £1.4m bid has been accepted and the American is travelling to London to have a medical and discuss personal terms. Get more details here.
Juventus are thought to be in the market for a few midfielders this summer, and it appears that they have turned to Chelsea for two of their targets. According to a newspaper report, the Italian giants want to sign Juan Cuadrado and Ramires from the Blues.
Could Norwich City be about to add an Italy international to their ranks? The Canaries are looking to sign Roma striker Mattia Destro and have made a bid, according to a report.
More now on Tim Ream's proposed move to Queens Park Rangers. We told you earlier that Bolton Wanderers had accepted a £1.4m bid for the defender, and Trotters boss Neil Lennon has confirmed that the two clubs are close to agreeing on a deal.
DONE DEAL! Over to Germany now, where Bayer Leverkusen have signed Charles Aranguiz from Internacional. The Chile international had been linked with Chelsea and Leicester City, but it is the Bundesliga side who have won the race for him. The midfielder has penned a five-year deal at the BayArena.
Southampton were in the hunt for Celtic's Virgil van Dijk, but it appears that they have now turned their attention to another defender. A report has claimed that the Saints are looking to sign Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly.
DONE DEAL! Everton have completed the signing of defender Mason Holgate from Barnsley. The 18-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the Toffees. More on this developing story here.
From one Everton defender to another now, as the John Stones saga continues to rumble on. Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with the England man, but manager Roberto Martinez has this morning insisted that the 21-year-old is still not for sale.

Has Erik Lamela just confirmed Roberto Soldado's Tottenham exit? He has since deleted the tweet, but earlier today the Argentine wished the striker well for the future.
Newcastle United will reportedly offer Mike Williamson in a swap deal for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk. More on that piece of gossip here.

More news involving Everton now, with manager Roberto Martinez confirming that the club has turned down the opportunity to sign River Plate youngster Tomas Andrade. The 18-year-old midfielder had recently been on trial at Goodison Park.
Remember all those reports that said Manchester United were close to signing Nicolas Otamendi? Well, according to Sky Sports News, Louis van Gaal has never been interested in the Valencia centre-back. Which do you believe? Van Gaal is holding a press conference soon, so hopefully we might get some answers!
Well, nothing on Otamendi, but Van Gaal did insist that this man is "not for sale".

Meanwhile, down in the Championship, Blackburn could be about to land themselves a new striker. A report in Holland has claimed that Rovers have taken AZ Alkmaar forward Denni Avdic on trial. More details here.
A while ago we told you about Van Gaal's stance on Januzaj and now another manager has been forced to put the 'not for sale' sign up. The boss in question is Southampton's Ronald Koeman, who has stressed that captain Jose Fonte is going nowhere. The centre-back has recently been linked with both Aston Villa and Liverpool.
