David Edwards signs one-year Wolverhampton Wanderers contract extension

David Edwards extends Wolves contract

Midfielder David Edwards has signed a one-year contract extension with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 29-year-old's previous deal was due to expire at the end of this season, but he has now committed until 2017, which would make it nine years at Molineux.

"I feel in a really good place with my body," Edwards told the club website.

"My form as well, I feel as though I'm playing to the best of my career in terms of having an impact on games and scoring goals.

"I'm in a good place at the moment and hopefully it can continue."

Edwards has scored 15 league goals the last two seasons and opened his 2015-16 account with a controversial winner against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
