Tottenham Hotspur are yet to strike a wage deal with their players in the midst of the coronavirus crisis, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly yet to strike a wage deal with their players as the coronavirus outbreak continues to cause havoc across the world of sport.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is keen to implement pay cuts at the club in order to deal with the financial implications of the worldwide pandemic.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Tottenham are yet to agree a deal with their players, who are said to be opposed to accepting pay cuts at this moment in time.

The report claims that the majority of the squad 'would be more open to agreeing deferrals' as it is still unclear how long the current crisis will continue.

The pandemic will cause significant financial problems across the Premier League, although Spurs could feel the damage to a greater extent as they are still paying off their new stadium.

Top-flight football in England could return in either June or July, but there is also a strong chance that the campaign could be called off altogether.
