Friday's Chelsea transfer talk news roundup: Jorginho, N'Golo Kante, Kai Havertz

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Chelsea on Friday, August 21.

The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Chelsea eye possible reinforcements.

The Blues failed to bring in a single player during the January window, despite seeing their transfer ban cut short by FIFA, but have already been busy this summer.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Stamford Bridge.

Friday morning's Chelsea transfer talk news roundup:

Jorginho to leave Chelsea for Roma this summer?

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho could reportedly join Roma during this summer's transfer window.

The 28-year-old scored seven times in 44 appearances for the Blues during the 2019-20 campaign but his future at Stamford Bridge has been the subject of much speculation in recent months.

The midfielder's agent recently suggested that the Italy international could swap clubs this summer, with Juventus thought to have a long-standing interest.

However, according to The Guardian, Roma are interested in the midfielder and could attempt to bring him back to Serie A for the 2020-21 campaign.

The report claims that Frank Lampard's side are open to the possibility of the Italian leaving this summer as they look to balance the books.

Jorginho, who has turned out for Hellas Verona and Napoli in Serie A, still has three years left to run on his contract in the English capital.

Manchester United to sign N'Golo Kante this summer?

Manchester United can be backed at odds as short as 1/2 to sign France's World-Cup winning midfielder N'Golo Kante from Chelsea during this summer's transfer window.

Kante struggled to show his best form for the Blues during the 2019-20 campaign and was restricted to just 28 appearances in all competitions due to some injury problems.

The 29-year-old could allegedly be available for transfer this summer as Chelsea boss Frank Lampard considers moving the team in a new direction.

One bookmaker have placed United as the 1/2 favourites to sign him, with a spokesperson from Oddschecker claiming that the Frenchman could be on his way to Old Trafford before the transfer deadline at the start of October.

Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid have also been mentioned as potential suitors, while a recent report claimed that Inter Milan were interested in his signature.

Kante helped Leicester City win the 2015-16 Premier League title before arriving at Stamford Bridge.
