Video: Roberto Soldado "cannot wait" to start league season

Watch as Roberto Soldado discusses his first impressions of life at Tottenham Hotspur after joining the London club from Valencia this summer.

New Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado has revealed that he "cannot wait" to start the Premier League season with the club.

The Spaniard, who swapped Valencia for White Hart Lane this summer, has also claimed that the club's "objective" next season is to secure a place in the top four.

"I feel well, the welcome I have received from the club, the staff and all the fans has been phenomenal. I felt good from the moment I arrived here," said Soldado.

"I cannot wait to start official competition now and start helping Tottenham win, which is what we all want. For me, it was very special to play my first game in our home ground and to score a goal was a very strong emotion for me.

"Our objective is to qualify for the Champions League and we are going to do everything we can to try and do it. I hope we can finish as high as possible."
