Nick Evans found himself in space to dive over for an early try, but the fly-half struggled with his kicking duties in the opening 40 minutes, missing two penalties and a conversion.

However, Mike Brown and Charlie Walker made sure that the points kept coming for the hosts, adding tries while Jack Nowell was in the sin bin for Exeter.

Gareth Steenson and Evans each added a penalty for their respective sides after the break, but neither team was able to increase their score further.

The result moves Quins up to fourth in the table, while Exeter, who had been just a point behind their opponents ahead of today's game, remain sixth.
