Scottish League One roundup: Dunfermline grab late win

Allan Smith's late goal means that Dunfermline are second behind Rangers in Scottish League One.

Dunfermline Athletic left it late to beat Stenhousemuir 3-2 to move second in Scottish League One, thanks to Allan Smith's stoppage-time winner.

Stenhousemuir led twice thanks to goals from Billy McKinlay and Darren Smith, but goals from Shaun Byrne and Ryan Wallace kept the Pars in it before Smith's late goal.

Arbroath drew 2-2 with East Fife in an ill-tempered game, which saw two six yellow cards and two sending-offs.

Alan Cook put the hosts in front and Liam Buchanan scored twice in five minutes for East Fife, who had Gary Thom and Scott McBride sent off, before Lee Erwin levelled from the spot.

Forfar moved to fifth in the division with a 2-0 win over Brechin City, thanks to goals in either half from Dale Hilson and Ross Campbell.

Results in full: Arbroath 2-2 East Fife, Dunfermline 3-2 Stenhousemuir, Forfar 2-0 Brechin
