Chelsea have allegedly tabled a £23.6m offer for Barcelona defender Gerard Pique ahead of the January transfer window.
The Spaniard is expected to leave the Catalan club in the New Year in search of new challenges, and the Blues are first to make an approach, according to The Metro.
The offer is said to be close to Barca's asking price, although Chelsea face competition for Pique from his former club Manchester United.
Pique has made 170 appearances for Barca since joining the club in 2008, scoring 12 goals.
