Preview: Hannover vs. Borussia Dortmund

Sports Mole previews the Bundesliga clash between Hannover and Borussia Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund must put Champions League disappointment behind them as they prepare to return to Bundesliga action on Saturday afternoon.

Heading into Wednesday's last-16 tie with Juventus trailing 2-1 from the first leg, Dortmund were optimistic about picking up the result they needed to reach another quarter-final.

However, in a largely disappointing campaign, the 3-0 defeat which followed was down to one of the poorest displays produced by Jurgen Klopp's side as Juventus cruised into the next round.

The home fans at Signal Iduna Park were quick to voice their displeasure as jeers were directed at the players at both half time and after the final whistle had been blown.

Hannover represent a very different challenge for Klopp and his players, but confidence is likely to be an issue after such a disappointing performance.

After pulling clear of the Bundesliga relegation zone with four successive wins, Dortmund have failed to score in the last two matches, which both ended in draws against Hamburger SV and FC Koln, respectively.

Hannover are without a win in their last nine league games - a run which has seen them go from European hopefuls to relegation candidates.

Tayfun Korkut's side head into the weekend just four points above the bottom three, and Didier Ya Konan is among the players pushing for a recall following last weekend's 2-0 loss to Borussia Monchengladbach.

Klopp is almost certain to respond to Wednesday's loss by making changes to his team, with Shinji Kagawa and Ciro Immobile both expected to be handed starts.
