Good morning everyone! I'm sure you've noticed that things are starting to hot up in the transfer market. Manchester United dominated the headlines over the weekend by confirming the arrivals of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Matteo Darmian. Widespread reports have claimed that Morgan Schneiderlin will be the next player through the entrance doors at Old Trafford. After signing Memphis Depay, United went quiet on the transfer front, but they now seem to be kicking into gear! Will there be more to come? Watch this space.

United's not-so-friendly neighbours Manchester City are closing in on a big signing of their own. It's no secret that the former Premier League champions have been trying to lure Raheem Sterling to the Etihad from Liverpool. After two failed bids, it appears that manager Manuel Pellegrini has almost got his man. The two clubs reportedly agreed a £49m fee on Sunday and the 20-year-old England international is due to undergo a medical today.

Let's move down to London and bring you some potential transfer news involving West Ham United. According to reports in Italy, the agent of Roma striker Mattia Destro is due to hold talks with the Premier League club regarding a loan deal that could eventually become permanent.

Right, we have a David de Gea update (sort of)! According to Sky Sports News, the Spaniard will fly out with the Manchester United squad to the United States this week. So, does that mean that a move to Real Madrid is not on the cards? Who knows! At the moment, the goalkeeper remains a United player.

A couple of developments to bring you now. Watford are reportedly concerned that their move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Benjamin Stambouli will fall through as he is yet to put pen to paper on a contract. Elsewhere, Sunderland are said to have agreed a £9m deal to sign Jeremain Lens from Dynamo Kiev.

Liverpool have been busy in the transfer window so far having brought six new faces into the club already. With a £49m fee expected to come their way for selling Raheem Sterling to Manchester City, could more money be spent on fresh additions? All the talk at the moment may surround Raheem Sterling, but there's another Englishman who has dominated a fair few column inches this summer. We have seen plenty of transfer activity throughout the day, including the confirmation of three huge moves at the top of the Premier League. Manchester United have brought in Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger, while Chelsea have bolstered their ranks with the addition of Asmir Begovic. More transfer news with regards to Tottenham Hotspur as 20-year-old midfielder Grant Ward joins Rotherham United on a six-month loan deal.

Now, how's this for audacious? Manchester United are reportedly looking to make a bid for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski. He was snapped up on a free by Pep Guardiola last season, but it's not like he's deemed surplus to requirements at the Allianz Arena... still, it's been a pretty sensational transfer window so far so it's worth watching this space, that's for sure.

Republic of Ireland international and ex-Blackpool defender Darren O'Dea, who has plied his trade in Canada for Toronto and in Ukraine for Metalurh Donetsk, has signed a deal with Indian Super League outfit Mumbai City, where he will play under Nicolas Anelka.

Michu, a name on every football fan's lips two years ago following his sensational debut season for Swansea City, but now he is reportedly asking his club to be released from his contract so that he can return to Spain with either Granada or Rayo Vallecano.

Manchester United target Sergio Ramos has reportedly been offered the Real Madrid captaincy for next season. That would surely signal an end to United's hopes of signing him.

That's all for today, and it's been a busy day for Manchester United, who completed the signings of Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger. Join Sports Mole at 7am for all of Tuesday's transfer news.
