Report: Sinclair rejects new Liverpool deal

Liverpool striker Jerome Sinclair has reportedly rejected an offer of a new contract and asked to leave the club.

The 18-year-old, who made his debut just six days after his 16th birthday in a League Cup match in 2012, had a spell on loan with Wigan Athletic last season, before returning to make his Premier League debut against Chelsea.

ESPN FC reports that Sinclair had been offered a new contract after holding talks with the club, but has now rejected the proposal and asked to be allowed to move on.

Sinclair was left out of Liverpool's pre-season tour to Asia and Australia.
