Harry Kane to Real Madrid for £45m plus Gareth Bale?

Real Madrid are monitoring Harry Kane's situation ahead at Tottenham Hotspur ahead of a possible €85m (£75.9m) move in the summer, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly monitoring Harry Kane's situation ahead at Tottenham Hotspur ahead of a possible €85m (£75.9m) move in the summer.

The Spanish giants have courted the England striker's signature for some time and they now believe that Spurs' poor start to the season could make a deal much more likely.

Tottenham's 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend took their record to just three wins from 11 competitive games this season, a start which has jeopardised the future of manager Mauricio Pochettino and the club's prospects of qualifying for next season's Champions League.

According to a report from Spain, Madrid believe that if Spurs miss out on Champions League qualification, Kane would be available for a fee in the region of €50m (£44.6m) plus Welsh forward Gareth Bale.

However, the report does suggest that Bale's high wages, which currently sit at just over £15m a season, could prove a stumbling block for Spurs in any potential negotiations.
