West Ham United believe that they have a 10% chance of signing Manchester United's Jesse Lingard this summer, according to a report.

West Ham United are reportedly highly pessimistic about their chances of striking a permanent deal for Jesse Lingard.

The 28-year-old reignited his career under the tutelage of David Moyes during last season's six-month loan spell, scoring nine goals and assisting five more in 16 Premier League appearances.

West Ham are known to be pining for Lingard's signature on a permanent basis, but Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has affirmed that the England international is in his plans for the new season.

According to Sky Sports News, West Ham now believe that they only have a '10% chance' of bringing Lingard back to the London Stadium this summer after his pre-season involvement with Man United.

The report adds that the Red Devils have slapped a £30m price tag on the head of the attacker, in spite of the fact that his deal is due to run out in the summer of 2022.

Lingard has turned out 210 times for Man United since rising through the club's youth ranks, scoring 33 goals and claiming 20 assists in that time.
