Luciano Spalletti hints at Ivan Perisic departure

Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti hints that Ivan Perisic, who has been strongly linked with Manchester United, is heading for a move away from San Siro.

Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti has hinted that Ivan Perisic is heading for a move away from San Siro this summer.

Perisic, 28, had been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United over the last couple of weeks, and it has recently been claimed that the Red Devils are making progress in their pursuit of the Croatia international.

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio claimed last week that Perisic would not be joining United, but the Italian club's pursuit of Lazio's Keita Balde Diao has fuelled rumours that the attacker will be allowed to leave.

Perisic has recently been allowed to return to Croatia to receive treatment on a tooth abscess, and Spalletti was coy on the Croatian's future when asked if a deal had been agreed with Man United.

Spalletti told Sportitalia: "Perisic? You [journalists] know everything, it's all out in the open."

Perisic joined Inter from Wolfsburg in 2015, and the versatile attacker has scored 20 times in 79 appearances for the Italian outfit, including 11 goals in 42 appearances during the 2016-17 campaign.
