Premier League Team of the Week - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ilkay Gundogan, Lucas Torreira

Sports Mole selects its Premier League team of the week for gameweek 14, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and three West Ham United players.

One of the biggest days of the season took place on Sunday as the Premier League hosted three local derbies, all of which contained their own twists and turns.

Arsenal overcame North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in a topsy-turvy thriller which ended 4-2, and Liverpool secured Merseyside bragging rights in bizarre fashion courtesy of Divock Origi's dramatic 96th-minute winner at Anfield.

Chelsea's 2-0 victory over West London rivals Fulham was more routine as they moved back into third place, with Arsenal displacing Spurs in the top four as a result of their victory.

Manchester City had already continued their relentless form with a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday, but their local rivals Manchester United dropped more points in a 2-2 draw with Southampton when they had to come from two goals down.

West Ham United halted Newcastle United's recent resurgence with victory at St James' Park, while Brighton & Hove Albion overcame a dreadful start to also pick up an away win at Huddersfield Town.

Leicester City and Crystal Palace both picked up important wins against Watford and Burnley respectively, while the weekend began with a shock on Friday as Cardiff City came from behind to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers.

West Ham's impressive 3-0 win at Newcastle earns them three players in this XI, starting with goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, who made four saves en route to a clean sheet. The world's two most expensive keepers Alisson Becker and Kepa Arrizabalaga both deserve mentions too, making some crucial saves to win clean sheets of their own in their respective derbies.

The second Hammers representative also comes in defence as Fabian Balbuena is chosen following his joint-high six tackles during the win over the Magpies. Shane Duffy is alongside him at centre-back having scored and won a whopping 11 aerial duels at Huddersfield, with the likes of Sean Morrison, Willy Boly and Issa Diop missing out.

Patrick van Aanholt is the first of three Crystal Palace players in the side following his display against Burnley, while on the opposite flank Ricardo Pereira earns his spot having won a game-high six aerial duels and made four tackles. Southampton's Cedric Soares also deserves a mention, if only for his stunning free kick against United.

The game of the weekend came at the Emirates, and Lucas Torreira enhanced his growing reputation amongst the Arsenal fans with a combative performance in the middle of the park, capped with his first goal for the club to wrap up the points in the North London derby.

Man City were not at their best against Bournemouth, but Ilkay Gundogan still helped his side control the game from midfield before getting on the scoresheet again, and James McArthur makes it a goalscoring trio in midfield following his admittedly fluke goal against Burnley.

There was nothing flukey about Andros Townsend's strike in that match, though, and his stunner earns him a place on the wing above the likes of Pedro, Solly March, Marcus Rashford and Leroy Sane. West Ham's Felipe Anderson does make the team on the opposite flank, having put the icing on the cake late on for West Ham at Newcastle.

Arguably the standout individual performance of the weekend came from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, whose brace against Spurs saw him climb to the top of the Premier League goalscoring charts as the first to reach double figures this season. The striker's second was particularly special, while he also registered an assist to beat fellow two-goal hero Javier Hernandez to the number nine spot in this team.
