How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Manchester United

Ahead of Wednesday's Premier League game between Manchester United and Spurs, Sports Mole looks at how Jose Mourinho's side could line up at Old Trafford.

Tottenham Hotspur make the trip to Manchester United having put together a run of three successive wins since the arrival of Jose Mourinho.

The former United boss has witnessed his side score 10 goals in triumphs over West Ham United, Olympiacos and Bournemouth respectively.

However, despite Spurs now sitting in fifth position in the Premier League standings, Mourinho will still have concerns after seeing his team concede six goals during the same period.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how the North Londoners may line up for the fixture in the North-West.

Out: Hugo Lloris (elbow), Michel Vorm (calf), Ben Davies (ankle)
Doubtful: Erik Lamela (thigh)

Mourinho could make at least one change to his backline, with Danny Rose likely to be preferred to Jan Vertonghen at left-back due to the pace of United's attack.

Vertonghen remains a candidate to feature in the centre of defence, although Mourinho may be prepared to stick with the partnership of Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld.

While Eric Dier is expected to keep his place in midfield, Harry Winks and Tanguy Ndombele are competing for one spot alongside the England international.

Despite Lucas Moura being hopeful of a recall on the right flank, Mourinho will likely give the nod to Moussa Sissoko, who possesses the greater defensive attributes.

Erik Lamela could be in line to be named among the replacements after a thigh problem, but Hugo Lloris, Michel Vorm and Ben Davies remain on the sidelines.
