Liverpool's Emre Can: 'Playing against Manchester United is a dream'

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can says that playing in matches against Manchester United is what 'little boys dream of'.

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has described clashes against Manchester United as the stuff of dreams.

Jurgen Klopp's men will welcome Jose Mourinho and his team to Anfield this evening for the first Premier League meeting between the arch rivals this season.

Can is yet to start a top-flight fixture for the Reds in the current campaign after he suffered an ankle injury in August, but the Germany international is relishing tonight's encounter.

On Instagram, Can wrote: "It's one of those games you dream of as a little boy! Totally focused on Liverpool FC vs. Manchester United! We are ready and it will be a great fight tonight and hopefully 3 more points for us. #LiverpoolFC #EC23 #Derby #SpecialGame."

Liverpool, who have won their last four league games on the trot, sit fourth in the table, three points above United, who reside in seventh.
