Chelsea injury, suspension list vs. West Bromwich Albion

Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League meeting with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from their Premier League defeat to Liverpool last weekend when they head to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

The Blues followed up their opening game victory at Brighton & Hove Albion with a 2-0 reverse at home to the reigning champions in their last league outing.

Frank Lampard's men hit back with a 6-0 win over Barnsley in round three of the EFL Cup in midweek, however, with summer signing Thiago Silva making his debut in that one.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their meeting with a pointless West Brom side.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Teenage midfielder Billy Gilmour has been sidelined since the summer with a knee injury, which he has since had an operation on. The 19-year-old will remain on the treatment table until October at the very least.

Hakim Ziyech

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: October 3 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Hakim Ziyech is yet to make his competitive debut for the Blues after picking up a knock in a pre-season friendly against Brighton. The former Ajax man will play no part this weekend but is closing in on a return to action.

Christian Pulisic

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: September 26 (vs. West Brom)

Christian Pulisic has seen his return to action delayed after suffering from discomfort, and the American was not involved against Brighton, Liverpool or Barnsley. Lampard is not expected to take any unnecessary risks over Pulisic's fitness and the winger is set to miss out again here.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Andreas Christensen served a one-match suspension in midweek after being sent off against Liverpool and is back in contention for this trip to The Hawthorns.
