Agent: 'Yaya Toure staying at Manchester City'

Yaya Toure's agent claims that Sheikh Mansour has told the midfielder that he will not be sold by Manchester City this summer.

Yaya Toure's agent has claimed that Manchester City's owner has told the midfielder that he will not be sold this summer.

The Ivorian's future at the Etihad Stadium has been in doubt following an indifferent campaign, with Inter Milan reportedly chasing his services.

However, Dimitri Seluk has revealed that Sheikh Mansour recently informed Toure that he remains an important part of the City squad.

"Yaya is staying - because Sheikh Mansour told him he must stay," Seluk told The Mirror. "Mansour told Yaya that he is still a very important player and that he was the first big player to join City after the takeover.

"He told him that City wouldn't even discuss a sale. This is good. People have tried to say that Yaya only wanted more money, but it was never about money. It was only about respect."

Toure scored 12 goals in 38 appearances for Manchester City during the 2014-15 campaign.
