Team News: Kasper Cillessen, Paco Alcacer handed Barcelona debuts

Jasper Cillessen and Paco Alcacer are handed their Barcelona debuts for the visit of Alaves to Camp Nou, while Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez both drop out.

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has handed debuts to summer signings Jasper Cillessen and Paco Alcacer for the visit of Alaves to Camp Nou.

Cillessen, a £13m capture from Dutch giants Ajax a fortnight ago, comes in between the sticks in place of Claudio Bravo, who departed for Manchester City.

There is a place up top for Alcacer, meanwhile, as he joins a makeshift front trio made up of returning Olympic hero Neymar and a rejuvenated Arda Turan.

Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi are both left on the bench following their international exploits with Uruguay and Argentina respectively, with the latter picking up a knock that has restricted his training in the build-up to tonight's match.

In terms of the visitors, Deyverson will again lead the line for Mauricio Pellegrino's men in a side that shows no changes from the goalless draw with Sporting Gijon a fortnight ago.

Barcelona: Cillessen; Vidal, Mascherano, Mathieu, Digne; Rakitic, Busquets, Denis; Arda Turan, Alcacer, Neymar
Subs: Masip, Alba, Umtiti, Iniesta, Rafinha, Messi, Suarez

Alaves: Pacheco; Laguardia, Alexis, Hernandez, Garcia; Torres, Femenia, Llorente; Mendez, Deyverson, Ibai
Subs: Camarasa, Santos, Ortola, Espinoza, Manu Garcia, Vigaray, Toquero
