The Nelson Mandela Championship in Durban will now start tomorrow following torrential rain in Durban.

Rain has delayed the start of the inaugural Nelson Mandela Championship in Durban.

A waterlogged course at the Royal Durban Golf Club means that the opening round will now take place tomorrow, with Norway's Espen Kofstad - number one on the Challenge Tour - hitting the first tee shot.

The newly-conceived tournament is the first that will count towards the 2013 Race to Dubai.

Rory McIlroy sealed the European Tour's highest honour with victory in the World Tour Championship last month.
