Afternoon all and welcome to Sports Mole's maiden transfer blog. We'll be bringing you the best rumours and any concluded deals over the course of the day. I'll be with you for the next hour, before our La Liga correspondent Matt Law takes over.

Let's start with the man in the picture above - Arsene Wenger. The Arsenal manager has already signed Alexis Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy from Barcelona and Newcastle United respectively, but he has confirmed that he is not done spending, with a goalkeeper at the top of his wishlist. The Gunners have also been strongly linked with Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira and Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin.

From Arsenal to Manchester United and Patrice Evra. The left-back is not on the club's pre-season tour of the USA because of his exploits at the World Cup with France, but he could well have played his last game for the club. A report in Italy has claimed that he will be confirmed as a Juventus player tomorrow morning. The 33-year-old joined United back in January 2006.

In terms of incomings at Old Trafford, Memphis Depay has been linked with a move to United, having shone at the World Cup under the management of new United boss Louis van Gaal. However, according to speculation this morning, it's Tottenham Hotspur that have a strong interest in the 20-year-old.

That is me done for today, but before I go, the latest transfer rumours can be located here. I'll now hand you over to Matt Law. Enjoy...

Thanks Liam! Matt Law here and I shall lead you through the next three hours. It is Sunday, but transfer news is still rife. Be sure to check out the 1pm update in the last post for the very latest!

What about this for some news? Newcastle United are reportedly interested in re-signing Andy Carroll this summer. The 25-year-old left the Magpies for Liverpool in 2010, but struggled to make his mark at Anfield before joining West Ham United on loan for the 2012-13 season. Carroll's move to West Ham was made permanent last summer, but the striker scored just twice in the Premier League last season after struggling with injury. Could it happen?

From Newcastle to Tottenham Hotspur, who have been linked with a move for Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony. The Ivorian netted 25 times for the Swans last season.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have today been linked with a move for Catania full-back Gino Peruzzi.

From the Premier League to Ligue 1 and La Liga. Monaco forward Valere Germain is confident that the French club can replace James Rodriguez if the Colombian moves on to Real Madrid this summer. The attacker is widely expected to complete his transfer to the Spanish outfit at the start of next week.

Staying in Spain and in particular with Real Madrid, Isco has quelled suggestions that he could leave the club this summer. Liverpool, Sevilla and AC Milan have all been linked with loan moves for the Spaniard, but the 22-year-old has taken to Twitter to deny such claims.

Manchester United, meanwhile, are the reported favourites to sign Dutch international Daley Blind from Ajax this summer.

According to reports in Spain, Monaco forward James Rodriguez is intent on forcing a move to Real Madrid this summer and will refuse to turn out for his current club in pre-season. The Colombian netted six times for his country at this summer's World Cup and has been linked with a £70m move to Madrid.

Back to the Premier League and Manchester United are reportedly prepared to pay Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal the same salary as Robin van Persie in a bid to entice the Chilean midfielder to Old Trafford. This saga threatens to go on and on!

That is just about it from me this afternoon, but be sure to remain with us as I pass the baton onto Pascal, who will lead you through the next few hours!

Thanks Matt! Pascal Lemesre here to guide you through the afternoon's transfer talk until 8pm. A reminder that you can go back and look at all of the recent stories by clicking here.

To League One, where recently-relegated Barnsley are said to be eyeing up veteran defender Zat Knight.

In Spain, Levante have completed the signing of 25-year-old forward Rafael Martins on a free transfer. The Brazilian scored 15 times in 28 games for Portuguese outfit Vitoria Setubal last season.

More on the future of Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal - Pavel Nedved has said that Juve would have to consider a steep bid for the Chilean. "Certainly, if there was a high bid for them, we'd have to think about it," said Nedved.

James Rodriguez declared earlier today that he would never play for Monaco again and now he has been spotted in Madrid airport. A move to Real could be confirmed as early as tomorrow. What a pair of teams Real and Barca are going to be next season. Considering the players that Atletico have lost, surely they've got no chance of retaining the league title?!

Napoli have already signed Michu from Swansea this window, and it looks like they could add another player from the Premier League. Liverpool's Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva is reportedly close to also joining the Serie A outfit temporarily.

Back to La Liga, where Sevilla could snap up Polish midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak from Reims tomorrow.

One player who might be leaving the Spanish top flight is Javier Aquino. Currently at Villarreal, the Mexican is believed to be closing in on a loan move to Celtic.

Although Swansea might be losing Ben Davies to Spurs, they could be securing the capture of Dimitri Payet in the coming days if reports are to be believed. More on that, here.

TRANSFER UPDATE! We round up the day's stories at 8am, 1pm and 7pm every day. Here's this evening's update, with stories on Wilfried Bony, Daley Blind, Andy Carroll and more.

I mentioned a little while ago that Ben Davies might be leaving Swansea for Spurs. The left-back has reportedly returned home from the Swans' tour of America to undergo a medical with the North London side, who, let's be honest, are in need of a left-back.

The latest rumours on Twitter suggest that Monaco and Real Madrid have reached an agreement for the transfer of James Rodriguez. It is believed that the fee is around €70m, which is £55m. He joined Monaco for €45m just 12 months ago so has increased his value by €25m in a season. Good going, James.

Will Liverpool snatch a third player from Southampton this summer? News has emerged this evening that the Saints have finally buckled and accepted the Reds' £16m offer for defender Dejan Lovren. If the Croatian defender does move to Anfield, it is thought that he will sign a four-year contract.

Anyway, time for me to have my dinner. I'll be passing the blog over to Sian Cowper for the next three hours, when there'll no doubt be plenty more gossip to digest. Sian...

Cheers Pascal. Good evening all, let's start with news of Southampton striker Morgan Schneiderlin's impending move away from St Mary's. The French international has been linked with several clubs this summer, but it appeared that Arsenal were leading the race to sign the 24-year-old. However, it has been reported this evening that Schneiderlin would rather join the Gunners' North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in order to play for former Southampton coach Mauricio Pochettino again.

On the 10th anniversary of Didier Drogba's arrival at Chelsea, it looks like the Ivory Coast international is heading back to Stamford Bridge. According to reports in the French media, the veteran striker has been offered a new one-year deal with the club that he helped win the Champions League in 2012, including a coaching role. The 36-year-old is available on a free after leaving Turkish giants Galatasaray earlier this summer, and is expected to complete the move within the next week.

Sunderland manager Gus Poyet announced yesterday that his side had agreed terms with Liverpool to sign striker Fabio Borini on a permanent basis, following his loan spell at the club last season. Done deal, case closed, end of story it seemed. However, the Italian has cast doubt on his move to the Stadium of Light by traveling with the Liverpool squad to the United States today ahead of their pre-season tour.

AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli continues to be link with a move back to the Premier League with Arsenal. However, the club's chief executive, Adriano Galliani, claims that the team is yet to receive any offers for the Italy international.

Manchester United have already added to their squad this summer, signing defender Luke Shaw and midfielder Ander Herrara. However, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has told the club's TV network that they are in talks with more transfer targets.

Liverpool winger Suso spent last season on loan with Almeria, where he saw regular first-team football. Having scored his first senior goal for the club during their pre-season friendly against Preston North End yesterday, the 20-year-old has said that he would like to stay with the team this year to fight for a first-team place.

Sticking with Liverpool, the Reds reportedly agreed a fee with Queens Park Rangers for striker Loic Remy earlier this week. This evening, it has been reported that the French international will fly out to Boston tomorrow, where the club is currently based for their pre-season tour of America, in order to undergo a medical.

Well that's all from me this evening, but stick around as Alex Meyers will be here until 2am to keep you up to date with all the latest developments in the transfer market.

Thanks Sian! Yes I will be bringing you latest news over the next few hours. We will start with William Carvalho, who is believed to be a target of Arsenal. The latest rumours have stated that he will cost the Gunners at least £24m to sign, but his club Sporting Lisbon want any fee upfront.

Patrice Evra has been linked with a move to Juventus all summer and it seems that the resignation of Antonio Conte has not had any effect on the transfer. It has been reported that Massimo Allegri sees Evra as part of his plans for the new season and will proceed with the deal.

Some news from Arsenal now, and it has been claimed that the Gunners are interested in signing Nice goalkeeper David Ospina. The Colombian has already stated that he plans to leave the French club next summer and reports coming out of France have suggested he is available for around £3m.

Leicester City are reportedly preparing a £7m bid for Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani. The Algerian international scored twice for his country at the World Cup and the Foxes are said to be confident of bringing him to the King Power Stadium.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that he has no plans to a sign a striker this summer. The Gunners have already signed Alexis Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy in the past month, but bringing in a new goalkeeper is Wenger's main priority.

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Christoph Kramer has said that he is interested in a potential move to Napoli.

"There is contact with Napoli. The offer is interesting, especially because Rafael Benitez is the manager and he is a great coach," Kramer told Bild.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Hajduk Split midfielder Nikola Vlasic. The 16-year-old is being billed as the new Luka Modric by some and he is believed to also be attracting the attention of both Real Madrid and Chelsea.

That's all we've got time for today. Thank you for joining us for our coverage and don't forget that we will be back tomorrow with more of the latest transfer news. Goodbye.
