Angel di Maria price set at £40.5m?

A report claims that Real Madrid have set Angel di Maria's transfer value at little over £40m.

Real Madrid will reportedly not entertain offers of less than £40.5m for Angel di Maria.

The Argentine had been strongly linked with a move away from the Bernabeu last summer following the arrival of Gareth Bale.

However, the former Benfica midfielder thrived in a deeper role for Los Blancos last season, with his impressive form helping the Spanish side claim a Copa del Rey and Champions League double.

A number of European clubs have been credited with an interest this summer, but according to L'Equipe, negotiations will not take place unless Madrid receive a significant offer.

Di Maria registered 17 assists in La Liga last season.
