Former Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck is struggling to find a new club due to his £100,000-a-week wage demands, according to a report.

Danny Welbeck is reportedly struggling to find a new club due to his £100,000-a-week wage demands.

The England international is available on a free transfer this summer following his release from Arsenal.

West Ham United, Everton and Newcastle United have all been linked with moves for the former Manchester United youngster, who has scored 42 times in 206 Premier League appearances.

However, according to The Sun, Welbeck is demanding a salary of £100,000 a week, in addition to a signing-on fee of £5m, which has put off a number of interested clubs.

The report claims that Lazio have also shown an interest in the Manchester-born ace, but the Italian outfit are also unwilling to meet his demands.

The 28-year-old missed a large part of the 2018-19 campaign after breaking his ankle against Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League towards the start of November.
