David Moyes: 'No contact with Tottenham Hotspur'

Everton boss David Moyes insists that he has had no contact with Tottenham Hotspur over their managerial vacancy.

David Moyes has insisted that he has had no contact with Tottenham Hotspur regarding their current managerial vacancy.

The Everton boss has been widely tipped to fill the void left by Harry Redknapp, who was sacked by the club on Thursday morning.

However, the 49-year-old has admitted that he has yet to hear anything official from Spurs.

"There has been no contact [with Spurs] and if there had been contact, the first person I would have told would be the chairman," he told BBC Sport.

He later added: "I hope to meet all my ambitions at Everton, but you never know in this game."

Moyes has been in charge of the Toffees since 2002.
