Real Madrid are reportedly looking to send young midfielder Martin Odegaard on loan to a Championship club for the duration of the 2018-19 campaign.
The teenager made headlines three years ago when joining Los Blancos from Norwegian side Stromsgodset in a £2.3m deal at the age of just 16.
Odegaard has barely challenged for a place in Madrid's first team since then, however, and he spent last term in the Eredivisie with Heerenveen.
According to The Mirror, Julen Lopetegui wants the 12-cap Norway international to continue his development away from the Bernabeu, and a move to the second tier of English football is favoured.
Aston Villa and Derby County have been touted as possible destinations for Odegaard, with the loan market scheduled to close on August 31.
