Chelsea are reportedly considering a summer loan move for Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic.
The 22-year-old only joined Madrid last summer following a prolific campaign for Eintracht Frankfurt, where he scored 27 goals in 48 games during 2018-19.
However, he has managed just two goals in 24 outings for Los Blancos so far, and manager Zinedine Zidane is willing to offload him on a temporary basis in the summer.
Madrid retain hope that Jovic could still be a success at the Bernabeu and so are not ready to sell him yet, instead hoping that a loan spell will help him to regain his confidence in front of goal.
Metro reports that Chelsea are lining up a possible loan move for Jovic in order to provide more competition for Tammy Abraham, with the futures of Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud uncertain.
However, any deal could be affected by the fact that Jovic faces a possible jail sentence in Serbia after breaking quarantine rules to visit his girlfriend amid coronavirus lockdown.
