Rugby League World Cup final set for Old Trafford

Organisers confirm that Old Trafford will hold the 2013 Rugby League World Cup final and Wembley will host the two semi-finals.

Old Trafford has been confirmed as the venue for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup Final.

The final is scheduled for November 30 and both of the semi-finals will take place at Wembley.

The tournament's general manager Sally Bolton said: "We know Old Trafford very well too, a venue that always delivers a fantastic Super League Grand Final for us.

"Holding the final there will allow the rugby league community, the people of the North West and we hope many new fans to witness a fantastic spectacle."

The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff has already been confirmed as the venue that will hold the opening ceremony.
