Ipswich Town have reportedly been drawn into a battle against Middlesbrough for Wycombe Wanderers striker Richard Kone.

The Blues return to Premier League football against Bournemouth on Tuesday, and they will almost certainly have to pick up points if they are to achieve survival.

With the club in 18th place with just 17 points - nine fewer than 17th-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers - relegation looks likely, especially as there are just nine games left to play in the top flight.

Kieran McKenna's side could lose a number of players in the summer should the team be relegated to the Championship, with striker Liam Delap strongly linked with a move away from Portman Road.

Manchester United are reportedly braced for a Real Madrid bid for captain Bruno Fernandes in the summer, with the Red Devils under severe financial constraints.

Boss Ruben Amorim has endured a difficult tenure at Old Trafford so far, with the Portuguese coach only winning six of his 18 Premier League games in charge.

Though the club's domestic season is all but over given they are 13th in the league and out of both the FA Cup and EFL Cup, winning the Europa League could see 2024-25 end on a high.

If United are to win the competition, they will need captain Fernandes to continue his scintillating form, with the attacking midfielder scoring seven goals and registering three assists in his last seven games for his side.

United are in 13th place with just 37 points after 29 matchweeks, and the club's record of 37 goals scored is the seventh-worst offensive return in the top flight.

Amorim will likely need reinforcements in the forward line if he is to turn the team's fortunes around in 2025-26, but with his side facing financial difficulties, the Portuguese coach may not be able to sign star attackers.
