Inter Milan have reportedly placed a £68m value on centre-forward Mauro Icardi amid suggestions that Real Madrid are preparing to move for the Argentine in this summer's transfer window.
Icardi was stripped of the captain's armband at Inter in February and has not turned out for the club since, missing each of their last five Serie A matches.
The 26-year-old will see his current deal at San Siro expire in June 2021 and it does appear that he will be sold to the highest bidder ahead of the 2019-2020 campaign.
According to AS, Madrid spoke with Inter chiefs last week and were informed that £68m was the price for the South American, who has scored 122 times in 210 appearances for his Italian side in all competitions.
Fellow Serie A clubs Napoli and Juventus have also been credited with an interest in Icardi, while Manchester United are also said to be considering a swoop in this summer's transfer window.
