Team News: Sam Vokes misses out for Burnley

Welsh centre-forward Sam Vokes misses out on a place in the Burnley squad for today's clash against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Sam Vokes has not been included in the Burnley squad for this afternoon's Championship encounter against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Manager Sean Dyche hinted during the week that the Welsh striker had overcome a groin injury that had kept him sidelined for the previous two weeks.

However, he has not been named in either the starting lineup nor on the bench, which means that Rouwen Hennings will partner Andre Gray in attack.

Yet, there is more positive news where Dean Marney is concerned. The midfielder has been absent since February with a knee complaint, but he has been included among the substitutes at Turf Moor today.

As for the visiting Seagulls, veteran centre-forward Bobby Zamora has replaced Sam Baldock, while Gordon Greer has come in at the back to fill the void that has been left by Uwe Hunemeier.

Burnley: Heaton; Darikwa, Duff, Keane, Mee; Boyd, Jones, Barton, Arfield; Hennings, Gray
Subs: Gilks, Ward, Kightly, Taylor, Lowton, Long, Marney

Brighton & Hove Albion: Stockdale; Bruno, Dunk, Greer, Rosenior; March, Kayal, Stephens, Murphy; Zamora, Hemed
Subs: Maenpaa, Chicksen, Goldson, Holla, Forster-Caskey, Manu, Akindayini
