Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke has said that Bayern Munich's new deal with Allianz will see the Bavarian club increase their financial dominance in the Bundesliga.
Bayern have signed a new deal which sees Allianz acquire an 8.33% stake in the club in exchange for €110m (£89m), with the partners moving level in ownership terms with Audi and Adidas.
"This development was predictable," Watzke told German newspaper Bild.
"They've been negotiating with Allianz for a long time and I can only congratulate them on the deal, but the gulf to the rest of the Bundesliga is obviously going to grow further because of it."
Bayern currently top the Bundesliga table with 56 points.
