Team News: Daniel Sturridge starts on bench at Everton

Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge is named as a substitute for this afternoon's clash with Merseyside rivals Everton, as the Reds make two changes to their starting XI.

Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge has been named as a substitute for this afternoon's clash with Merseyside rivals Everton.

Reds manager Brendan Rodgers had claimed earlier this week that the England forward was doubtful for the trip to Goodison Park because of a dead leg.

Rodgers has made two changes to his starting XI following the 4-0 win over Fulham earlier this month. Jon Flanagan and Joe Allen come in for Sturridge and Aly Cissokho.

Meanwhile, Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has made just one alteration following his side's 0-0 draw at Selhurt Park, as Ross Barkley replaces Leon Osman.

Everton: Howard, Baines, Distin, Jagielka, Coleman, Barry, McCarthy, Pienaar, Barkley, Mirallas, Lukaku.
Subs: Robles, Heitinga, Jelavic, Deulofeu, Naismith, Osman, Stones.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Johnson, Flanagan, Agger, Skrtel, Lucas, Gerrard, Allen, Henderson, Coutinho, Suarez.
Subs: Jones, Toure, Alberto, Moses, Sturridge, Sakho, Sterling.
