Arsenal are supposedly likely to have the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani on loan in January after Bukayo Saka's injury.

Mikel Arteta's Gunners might have beaten Crystal Palace 5-1 on Saturday and just about kept their title hopes alive, but the match was overshadowed by Saka's injury in the first half.

Arteta has since revealed that the winger is set to miss out on action for a number of weeks as a result of a hamstring injury, a devastating blow considering the Englishman had produced five goals and 10 assists in the Premier League, with no other teammate registering more than eight direct goal contributions in the top flight.

The Gunners are already six points behind first-placed Liverpool and have played an extra game, and the injury to the 23-year-old has fans concerned that the team could fall further behind the Reds.

Manchester United will reportedly set an asking price of £40m for Marcus Rashford in the upcoming January transfer window.

After breaking into the first team in February 2016 as a teenager, fans thought that boyhood United fan Rashford could be the face of the club's revival in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Fast-forward to 2024, and it looks as if the forward's time at Old Trafford could end bitterly after the attacker announced his desire to leave the club earlier in December.

The forward has been excluded from Ruben Amorim's squad for three consecutive games, and his relationship with the Portuguese manager appears to already be fractured.

"Jesus resurrected at Christmas": Do Arsenal no longer need a new striker?

The "resurrected" Gabriel Jesus should be Arsenal's first-choice centre-forward over the festive period after his pair of attacking masterclasses against Crystal Palace, according to Gunners expert Charles Watts.

The hitherto misfiring Brazilian has unexpectedly struck five goals in his last two appearances against the Eagles, firstly bagging a hat-trick in a 3-2 EFL Cup quarter-final win before a brace in Saturday's 5-1 Premier League London derby victory at Selhurst Park.

Prior to the cup treble, Jesus had not scored a single competitive goal at the Emirates in 2024, and he had to go all the way back to the end of January for his last Premier League goal before making the net bulge twice away from home.

Speaking to Sports Mole, Watts challenged Jesus to return to the level he showed before his severe knee injury at the 2022 World Cup, saying: "It's a headline writer's dream, isn't it? Jesus resurrected at Christmas.

Liverpool could reportedly look to sign Porto midfielder Nico Gonzalez in the January transfer window as an alternative to Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi.

After Arne Slot's side failed to convince Zubimendi to leave Spain this past summer, some fans went into the 2024-25 season worried about the strength of their team's midfield, especially given players like Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai looked exhausted towards the the end of last term.

However, the duo both scored against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday and helped lead Liverpool to a 6-3 win, Slot's 21st victory in 25 games.

The Reds might be top of both the Premier League and Champions League tables, but it could be wise for the Merseysiders to capitalise while in a position of strength by adding to their squad in January.

Tottenham Hotspur are considering a January move for former Everton defender Ben Godfrey to bolster their defence, according to a report.

Spurs have been ravaged by injuries in defence this season, with Cristian Romero (thigh) and Micky Van de Ven (hamstring) both sidelined for the foreseeable future.

Additionally, Ben Davies, who has predominantly played as a centre-back in recent years, is also out of action due to a hamstring injury sustained in the loss to Bournemouth at the start of the month.

The Lilywhites' injury setbacks have forced Ange Postecoglou to deploy Archie Gray out of position alongside Radu Dragusin in central defence, but so far, the pairing have struggled mightily, conceding nine goals in their last two matches.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has reportedly given the green light for a swap deal involving Ansu Fati and Manchester United's Marcus Rashford.

Rashford has been left out of the Red Devils' squad for the last two matches, with Ruben Amorim citing a lack of effort in training as part of the reason for his omission.

Alejandro Garnacho was also excluded from the team for their 2-1 victory over cross-town rivals Manchester City, but the Argentine returned to the setup for their 4-3 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup in midweek.

The 27-year-old England international is said to be unhappy with the situation and has admitted that he may be ready for a new challenge, which has prompted widespread speculation that he could depart Old Trafford as soon as the January transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has been talking team news and transfers ahead of Thursday's Premier League contest with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

The Lilywhites will square up to the Champions League-chasing Tricky Trees - thriving under the wing of ex-Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo - on the back of their unforgettable 6-3 loss to Liverpool on Sunday evening.

Having come out on the wrong end of that nine-goal spectacular, their third loss from their last four top-flight matches, Tottenham will be spending Christmas Day in the bottom half of the Premier League rankings in 11th place.

Spurs' slump has coincided with a selection crisis in defence in particular, as well as the absence of Rodrigo Bentancur, who was serving a seven-game suspension for an offensive comment he made over the summer about Son Heung-min and South Koreans.

Newcastle United are 'reluctantly' prepared to part ways with Sandro Tonali next summer in a move that could have major benefits for Manchester United and Chelsea.

The Italy international's St James' Park career is yet to truly ignite after he was banned for 10 months for betting offences right at the start of his Magpies journey.

Tonali has since become a fundamental part of Eddie Howe's squad, playing the full 90 in the weekend's 4-0 thrashing of Ipswich Town, but he is yet to become an undisputed starter.

Bruno Guimaraes, Joe Willock, Sean Longstaff, Joelinton and the fledgling Lewis Miley are all competing for minutes in Howe's midfield, and Tonali is already being linked with a return to his homeland.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is apparently under no pressure to select Marcus Rashford after the forward's bombshell interview.

The 27-year-old has been left out of the Red Devils' last three matchday squads against Manchester City, Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur, with Amorim insisting on all three occasions that his choice was simply down to "selection".

It is believed that the new Red Devils boss has not been impressed with Rashford's application in training, but the saga took an unexpected twist earlier this month when Rashford admitted that he was seeking a "new challenge" elsewhere.

Amorim has publicly questioned the "choices" of Rashford's camp following his bombshell revelation to journalist Henry Winter, and the forward could try to engineer an exit from the club as early as January.
