Arsene Wenger: 'Manchester United active in transfer market'

Arsene Wenger claims that Manchester United are chasing the same targets as Arsenal this summer.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has claimed that Manchester United are chasing the same targets as the Gunners ahead of this afternoon's Premier League match at Old Trafford.

Wenger believes that the United squad will get stronger next season, despite already being "top quality".

"It looks to me like they are on the market because every player I am offered, I am told Man United are on the case as well," PA quotes Wenger as saying.

"It looks like they are very active and you expect them to come back with some strong buys, but they already have a very strong squad. If you look at their squad, it's top quality already."

If Arsenal lose today, they will drop to fourth behind United ahead of their last two games of the season against Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion.
