Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola reportedly arranged a meeting the day after his side's Champions League exit in an attempt to pick up his players for the run-in.

Pep Guardiola reportedly held clear-the-air talks with his Manchester City players in an attempt to save their treble bid.

The Citizens' hopes of claiming a clean sweep of trophies were ended by Tottenham Hotspur in midweek as they crashed out of the Champions League 4-4 on away goals.

City's stars were left crushed by the manner of their defeat, having had a late goal ruled out for offside by VAR, and they have just three days to pick themselves up ahead of today's Premier League showdown against the same opponents.

According to The Sun, Guardiola arranged a meeting the day after the European loss to try to pick his players back up ahead of their final six matches, culminating in the FA Cup final against Watford on May 18.

Despite being knocked out on away goals, City won Wednesday's second leg against Tottenham and have therefore failed to win just two of their last 26 matches in all competitions.
