Premier League clubs fear 'no chance' of April return

Premier League clubs are reportedly fearing that the league may not be able to be completed due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

Premier League clubs are reportedly concerned that the season has 'no chance' of resuming by April following the coronavirus outbreak.

All matches in England's top flight have been suspended after Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi both tested positive for the virus.

The league initially planned to resume the season by April 4, but according to The Mirror, clubs have discussed this privately and admitted that there is no chance the season could be up and running again so early.

The report also claims that all clubs will convene next Thursday in order to discuss further plans for the remainder of the season and beyond.

Should the league's postponement lead to matches being called off until July, this summer's Euro 2020 tournament and the build-up to the Qatar World Cup could supposedly be significantly impacted.
