Ole Gunnar Solskjaer "not surprised" by Juan Mata speculation

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is "not surprised" with the recent speculation surrounding Juan Mata's future.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that he is "not surprised" with the recent speculation surrounding the future of Juan Mata.

The attacker's existing deal at Old Trafford is due to expire this summer, and the 20-time English champions are yet to activate an extension on the Spaniard's contract.

Juventus, Inter Milan and Roma are all believed to be keen on signing the 32-year-old at the end of the season, and Solskjaer is not shocked by claims of interest from other clubs.

"I'm not surprised that teams are interested in him," Solskjaer told reporters. "One, he's a very good footballer, two he's a fantastic professional and human being."

Mata has struggled for regular action during the 2020-21 campaign, only making 12 appearances in all competitions, while he has not featured in the Premier League since the middle of December.

In total, the attacker has scored 50 goals and registered 47 assists in 267 outings for the Red Devils.
