Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke insists that Jadon Sancho will not be leaving Signal Iduna Park this summer.

Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke has insisted that Jadon Sancho will not be leaving Signal Iduna Park during this summer's transfer window.

The German club's sporting director Michael Zorc recently said that the England international would be staying with BVB for the 2020-21 campaign after Manchester United failed to come to an agreement over a deal before the Bundesliga side returned to pre-season training.

Former United midfielders Owen Hargreaves and Paul Scholes both recently told BT Sport that they still expected Sancho to arrive at Old Trafford before the transfer window slams shut.

However, Watzke has insisted that the former Manchester City youngster's stay "is set in stone".

"I read that too. This is what experts like Paul Scholes and Owen Hargreaves claim," Watzke told reporters. "They were great footballers, and they are football experts. But I don't know if they are transfer experts too. That Sancho stays with BVB is set in stone."

A recent report claimed that the Englishman could push for a move to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side before the transfer window closes at the start of October.
