Andre Silva 'motivated' by Manchester United links

Eintracht Frankfurt forward Andre Silva suggests that he would be interested in a transfer to Manchester United in the future.

Eintracht Frankfurt forward Andre Silva has suggested that speculation regarding a move to Manchester United only acts as motivation to produce better performances.

The 25-year-old has started to fulfil his potential in the Bundesliga, contributing 31 goals from 46 matches since his exit from AC Milan.

While Frankfurt will inevitably want to keep the Portugal international in the long term, Silva has just over two years remaining on his contract.

With United among the clubs who are said to be monitoring the situation, Silva has acknowledged that it is a sign that he is now on the right path after a disappointing period at San Siro.

Speaking to O Jogo, the frontman said: "I've heard rumours, but that is it. Rumours are rumours.

"At the end of this season, it's' something that gives me more motivation to work, it's a sign that what I have accomplished has borne fruit and the path has been good."

Silva's asking price is likely to be dependent on whether Frankfurt, currently in fourth place in the Bundesliga, qualify for next season's Champions League.
