Barcelona could move for Arsenal central defender Gabriel Magalhaes this summer, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly considering a move for Arsenal central defender Gabriel Magalhaes during this summer's transfer window.

The 24-year-old has been a key player for the Gunners during the 2021-22 campaign, making 31 appearances in all competitions, scoring three times in the process.

Gabriel still has more than three years left to run on his contract at the Emirates Stadium, but according to Sport, Barcelona could attempt to sign him in the upcoming market.

The report claims that Xavi's side are huge admirers of the Brazilian, with the Catalan outfit believing that a big-money offer for the defender would be considered by the London club.

Samuel Umtiti and Clement Lenglet are allegedly both expected to leave Camp Nou this summer, so at least two new centre-backs could move to the club ahead of next season.

Gabriel has made 62 appearances for Arsenal since arriving from Lille in September 2020, contributing six goals and one assist in the process.

Barcelona are also believed to be on the verge of completing a deal for Chelsea centre-back Andreas Christensen, who is set to be available on a free transfer at the end of June.
