Despite the financial obstacles, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has insisted that he will try to work out a way of bringing Marcus Rashford to AC Milan this season.

Rashford has not featured for Manchester United since his side's 2-1 win against Viktoria Plzen on December 12 in the Europa League.

The Red Devils have since played six times, though boss Ruben Amorim has presided over four losses, one draw and just one victory in that period.

Rashford has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this January, and senior AC Milan adviser Ibrahimovic spoke to Sky Italia about his desire to bring the winger to Italy, saying: "I know him very well, I played with him when he was young, now he is an adult and established. He has done great things with United and today that is his club.

AC Milan are reported to be talks to sign Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker after Pep Guardiola announced the defender wants to leave the club this month.

City might have beaten Salford City 8-0 in the FA Cup on Saturday evening, but headlines were dominated by the news that Walker had asked to leave the champions.

Guardiola told reporters in the aftermath of the win that Walker would like to leave, saying: "He'd like to explore another country to play his last years, for many reasons, and for that reason, I preferred playing other players (against Salford)."

The right-back has not started any of his side's last five games, and there is little reason to believe that he will get back into the XI considering City are unbeaten in their four most recent matches, winning three times in that period.

Crystal Palace have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Millwall attacker Romain Esse.

On Thursday, Millwall boss Alex Neil confirmed Palace's interest in the 19-year-old, before he warned the Eagles that they would have to pay a "significant" fee to sign the teenager.

Neil told BBC Radio London: "If he does move, he'll move for significant money, which from the club's perspective will be brilliant business considering we could have lost him in the summer for free."

According to talkSPORT, Palace are on the verge of signing Esse after agreeing a £14m deal with the Lions, which will make it a club-record sale for the Championship side.
