MK Dons vs. Bromley - prediction, team news, lineups

MK Dons and Bromley square off on Saturday afternoon with just two points separating the teams in the League Two table.

Despite sitting in 11th and 16th place respectively, both teams head into this fixture having put together an indifferent run of form.

Match preview

Ever since putting together a six-match winning streak up to and including December 3, MK Dons have been dismal in the fourth tier of English football.

Seven defeats have been posted in 11 games to leave the club nine points adrift of the playoffs, Scott Lindsay having come under increasing pressure.

Just nine wins have come from his 24 fixtures in charge, only two being posted across the aforementioned 11-match period.

After four points were collected from games with AFC Wimbledon and Harrogate Town, MK Dons went down by a 2-1 scoreline at Doncaster Rovers last time out.

Despite only winning seven of their 16 home league matches during 2024-25, just 15 goals have been conceded, the joint-eighth best return in the division when having played more home games than any other team.

Meanwhile, Bromley have started to lose their way in their first season in League Two, going six matches without success.

Although they earned a 3-3 draw at eighth-placed Salford City in midweek, Andy Woodman's side let slip a three-goal advantage.

Bromley may have ended their poor run in the final third but 14 goals have been conceded across the aforementioned six-fixture period.

Nevertheless, Bromley's away form has been a major plus point this campaign with 21 points having come from their 15 games, losing just the four times.

Team News

Danilo Orsi could be drafted into the MK Dons starting lineup on the back of his loan move from Burton Albion.

Travis Patterson is also an option at left-back having been brought in from Aston Villa, but Lindsay may be against making too many alterations.

Kamarl Grant is in line to be brought into the Bromley side at right-back with Carl Jenkinson suffering an injury last time out.

Despite the capitulation at Salford, Woodman may still avoid overly tinkering with his side, but Marcus Ifill and Harry McKirdy are both options having signed from Millwall and Hibernian respectively.

MK Dons possible starting lineup: McGill; Lemonheigh-Evans, Sanders, Lawrence, Tomlinson; Williams; Crowley, White, Gilbey; Orsi, Hogan

Bromley possible starting lineup: Smith; Grant, Kacurri, Webster, Mayor; Charles, Arthurs; Imray, Thompson, Congreve; Cheek

We say: MK Dons 1-1 Bromley

Given the inconsistency of both clubs, this may not be a contest that is oozing quality. Nevertheless, Bromley have shown at times this season that they can impress on the bigger platforms, leaving us to predict a hard-earned point for the visitors.
