Good morning everyone! While English clubs still have until tomorrow to get transfer deals over the line due to today's bank holiday, clubs around Europe need to complete all their business by midnight tonight. The biggest deal of the window so far in the UK was finalised on Sunday afternoon as Manchester City signed Kevin de Bruyne from Wolfsburg for a £55m fee. Will any other clubs break the bank today? Stick with us throughout the day and you will find out!

Speaking of breaking the bank... Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri took to Twitter last night to report that Manchester United have made a £72.5m bid for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale. The Welshman has been linked to the Red Devils for some time as the Premier League giants desperately search for an attacking presence before the close of the transfer window. With it being this late in the game, surely Bale will not be swapping the Bernabeu for Old Trafford? Well, where the transfer window is concerned, nothing can be ruled out!

Is the transfer saga involving Chelsea and Everton defender John Stones over? According to Toffees boss Roberto Martinez, yes. Last week it was reported that the England international had handed in a transfer request after Everton rejected three bids from the Blues. However, Martinez has claimed that Stones did not intend to lodge a transfer request in the first place. The Spaniard appears to suggest that the centre-back will remain at Goodison Park for the rest of the season, but with the transfer window still open, anything can happen!

So, who saw this one coming then? According to RMC Sport, Manchester United have put forward a £36.3m bid for Monaco teenager Anthony Martial. As we all know, United are keen to bolster their attacking options before tomorrow's transfer deadline. Is Martial the answer? The Frenchman scored eight goals in 31 Ligue 1 appearances last season.

Reports in Italy have surfaced claiming that Real Madrid are plotting a shock move for Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno. The Spaniard joined the Merseyside club from Sevilla last year, but has struggled for first-team action this season following the recent arrival of 18-year-old Joe Gomez.

More news from Manchester United now (I have a feeling we'll be hearing a lot about them in the next couple of days!). There have been suggestions that the club will make a late move for Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen. However, the club's director of football Marc Overmars has insisted that there has been no contact between the clubs relating to the shot-stopper. The speculation comes amid reports that David de Gea is on the verge of signing for Real Madrid.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has been speaking about the club's rumoured interest in Real Madrid frontman Karim Benzema. The France international has said that he would have welcomed the arrival of his compatriot at the Emirates Stadium.

West Ham United have reportedly had a bid accepted by Hull City for striker Nikica Jelavic. According to Sky Sports News, the Croatian is having a medical with the Hammers. More here.

There has been plenty of speculation over Charlie Austin's future this summer and there has been an interesting development surrounding the striker. Several bookmakers have now installed Manchester United as the favourites to sign the Queens Park Rangers man before the transfer window closes. More here.

Some interesting news now regarding Adnan Januzaj. According to a report, Manchester United are set to loan the Belgian international to Borussia Dortmund, with the German side in advanced talks over a deal.

Are Manchester United set to make another signing this summer? The French Football Federation have confirmed that Anthony Martial has been given permission to travel to England and sign a deal with the Red Devils. More on this developing story here.

Sticking with Manchester United. Widespread reports have claimed that goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard is on the verge of signing for West Bromwich Albion on a free transfer.

Well, this would certainly be a shock move! The Daily Mail reports that Tottenham Hotspur outcast Emmanuel Adebayor has been offered to Manchester United. It is believed that the Togolese forward is waiting to hear if the Red Devils are interested before making a decision on his future.

Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, and with the transfer window closing tomorrow, any potential deal will need to be finalised swiftly. According to Sky Sports News, the 24-year-old has not travelled to meet up with the Kenya squad as planned. So, does this mean that the midfielder is on the verge of an exit from St Mary's?

It looks as though Chelsea are closing in on signing a new defender, but it's not the one that has been dominating the headlines... As we all know, the Blues have had three bids for Everton centre-back John Stones knocked back, and it appears that Chelsea may have given up their pursuit. According to The Mirror, the reigning Premier League champions have agreed a deal to sign Nantes defender Papy Djilobodji.

As mentioned earlier, the transfer window closes at midnight for most clubs around Europe. In Spain, Athletic Bilbao have confirmed that an agreement has been reached "in principle" to sign Raul Garcia from Atletico Madrid. Read more.

Let's bring you two quick lines from Europe. According to the Daily Mail, Marseille are keen to sign Tottenham Hotspur's club-record £30m signing Erik Lamela, while reports in Spain have claimed that Porto defender Adrian Lopez is currently undergoing a medical ahead of a move to Villarreal.

DEAL AGREED? As mentioned earlier, Manchester United are closing in on the surprise capture of Monaco forward Anthony Martial. Well, according to Sky Sports News, a whopping £36m fee has been agreed between both parties. Given that the French outfit paid around £3m for the teenager two years ago, that is quite some profit! Click here for more details.

Short and sweet for Jelle Vossen as he leaves Burnley just eight weeks after moving to Turf Moor from Genk. The striker has joined Club Brugge on a five-year deal.

Aaron Lennon was linked with a move to Aston Villa earlier in the window, but according to The Mirror, the winger has decided to see out the final year of his contract at Tottenham Hotspur unless the club agree a permanent deal with Everton. Read more.

NEW DEAL! Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro has put pen to paper on a new contract at the Bernabeu. Get more details here.

There seems to be developments relating to David de Gea's future. The Daily Mail have reported that Manchester United and Real Madrid have begun advanced negotiations regarding the transfer of the Spaniard. The shot-stopper has not featured in one single game for the Red Devils this season, but due to the transfer window in Europe closing this evening, there were suggestions that De Gea would stay put. However, the latest reports indicate that it could only be a matter of time before the 24-year-old is a Madrid player.

We have some news to bring you from White Hart Lane. According to Sky Sports News, Tottenham Hotspur have launched a £13m bid for Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Axel Witsel. The Belgian was previously linked with a switch to AC Milan, but the Italian outfit are said to only be interested in a season-long loan. Witsel has scored 15 goals in 105 appearances for the Russian club.

Manchester United youngster Tyler Blackett completed a loan switch to Celtic over the weekend. The rising defender has since revealed that his temporary switch has the backing of United boss Louis van Gaal.

Some sections of the press have reported that Real Madrid keeper Keylor Navas could be included in a possible deal should David de Gea leave Manchester United for the Spanish capital. It is now being suggested that Navas has delayed his planned arrival with the Costa Rica national side to wait for developments regarding his future.

Saido Berahino continued his absence from the West Bromwich Albion squad at the weekend and one report this afternoon has suggested that the young forward could become the subject of a third bid from Tottenham Hotspur. The same story also states that the Baggies may find it hard to turn down should Spurs meet the player's £25m valuation.

DONE DEAL! Some breaking news for Sunderland fans... Striker Fabio Borini has completed his move to the Stadium of Light from Liverpool. All the details from that transfer can be found here.

Sheffield Wednesday appear to be throwing some financial weight around this summer. It was reported earlier this week that the club had failed with a bid for Fulham frontman Ross McCormack and it is now being mooted that the Owls are instead turning their attentions to Watford's Matej Vydra.

Exciting news for Borussia Dortmund fans then, as Adnan Januzaj has taken to Twitter to confirm his loan move to the Bundesliga outfit from Manchester United. You can see the 20-year-old appearing in a photo with his new Dortmund number here.

Another big transfer has just been announced in Germany... Wolfsburg have clearly used some of their cash from the sale of Kevin De Bruyne to finance a move for Schalke 04 midfielder Julian Draxler, who has now joined the club on a five-year deal.

DONE DEAL! With Anthony Martial expected to move to Manchester United in the next 24 hours, the Old Trafford club have decided to move on fan favourite Javier Hernandez. The Mexican striker has joined Bayer Leverkusen on a three-year deal for a fee that is thought to be in the region of £7.3m.

DONE DEAL! Another exit from Old Trafford as West Bromwich Albion confirm the signing of Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard on a two-year deal - the big Dane moves on a free transfer.

DONE DEAL! Keeping with the Baggies, they have confirmed that Brown Ideye has joined Greek giants Olympiacos for an undisclosed fee. The 26-year-old joined the West Midlands club from Dynamo Kiev for a club-record fee of £10m last summer, but has scored just seven goals in 31 appearances for them.

DONE DEAL! Reading have confirmed the signing of Chelsea forward Lucas Piazon on a season-long loan deal. The 21-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge from Sao Paulo in 2012, but only has one appearance for the Blues, having spent the last three seasons on loan at Malaga, Vitesse and Eintracht Frankfurt.

DONE DEAL! They're coming in thick and fast today, as Manchester City confirm that 20-year-old defender Jason Denayer has joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan. The young Belgian spent the entirety of last term on loan at Celtic, where he was named as Scotland's Young Player of the Year for 2014-15.

Bad news reports emerging if you're a Stoke City fan - veteran striker Jonathan Walters is said to have handed in a transfer request, following purported contract renewal breakdowns and apparent interest from Norwich City.

DONE DEAL! Cardiff City have confirmed the signing of striker Idriss Saadi from French second division side Clermont. The 23-year-old signs for an undisclosed fee, putting pen to paper on a three-year deal that runs until the summer of 2018.

DONE DEAL! Southampton striker Emmanuel Mayuka, an Africa Cup of Nations winner with Zambia, has left the South Coast club to join French side Metz on a three-year deal. The 24-year-old failed to establish himself at St Mary's since his £3m switch from Young Boys in 2012, with Ronald Koeman having gone on record to admit that forward had "no future at the club".

DONE DEAL! And another - Norwich City have completed a loan deal for veteran Dynamo Kiev and DR Congo striker Dieumerci Mbokani, with an option to buy at the end of the season.

More reports of deals in the works, this time between Bournemouth and Crystal Palace, who are said to have agreed a fee of £5m for Eagles striker Glenn Murray. The move is reportedly close to completion, with just personal terms and a medical to be completed at Dean Court ahead of the transfer deadline.

What a story this could be! David de Gea has been on the verge of moving to Real Madrid for months, and it might not have happened. Reports are emerging that the paperwork was not completed in time for the Spanish transfer deadline!

DONE DEAL! Marseille have announced that Juventus pair Mauricio Isla and Paolo De Ceglie have signed for the club on loan. More on that here.

DONE DEAL! Celtic's Stefan Scepovic has joined La Liga side Getafe on a season-long loan.

DONE DEAL! Twente winger Jesus Corona has moved to Porto on a five-year deal.

DONE DEAL! Borussia Dortmund winger Jakub Blaszczykowski has signed for Fiorentina on a season-long loan, with a view to a permanent move.

DONE DEAL! Hernanes has completed a permanent transfer to Juventus from Inter Milan for a fee of £8m.

DONE DEAL! It's been a busy deadline day for Juventus and they have confirmed the signing of Mario Lemina from Marseille. They've paid €1.5m for an initial loan deal, and could pay €10m for a permanent transfer next summer.

DONE DEAL! Real Betis have welcomed back 34-year-old winger Joaquin, who has signed a three-year contract from Fiorentina.

DONE DEAL! Dieumerci Mbokani's loan deal seems to have had a knock-on effect on Ricky van Wolfswinkel. He's moved on loan to Real Betis until the end of the season. Surely that's the end of his uninspiring Norwich City career.

We just have enough time to head back to England, and Joleon Lescott could be on his way to Aston Villa. They've reportedly had a £1m bid accepted by West Bromwich Albion ahead of Tuesday evening's deadline.

That's it for tonight, and it's been a busy day both at home and abroad. There's surely more to emerge surrounding the David de Gea on-off move to Real Madrid so come back from 6am for one of the most exciting days of the year - Deadline Day!
